About Us

Our mission is to assist families in the development of the whole child through the power of the Gospel. Trinity Lutheran School began developing disciples in 1908. We are a Christ-centered 4 year old Kindergarten through grade 8 school, with before and after school child care and an Early Childhood Learning Center for ages infant-5 years. We are part of the largest Protestant school system in the United States with over 2500 schools at the preschool, elementary, secondary and collegiate level. We are accredited through the National Lutheran School Accreditation Commission. Come see us, we want to meet you!

Trinity uses the national norm-referenced test called the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. It is a test that is common in the using for parochial schools and used to compare how students are doing compared to others nationally. Tests like this have tougher standards than typical state tests used often in the pubic sector, while still providing accountability for strong education. Tests like these are only a snapshot of how a student performs on a single day on a specific item. Quality assesment includes many other factors that best explain the growth of a learner. Trinity annually takes the ITBS in grades 2,4,6,8 and also participates in the National Assessment of Educational Progress which provides the Nations Report Card. NPR is a percentile rank. 63 says that if 100 students took the test, your child would have scored better than 63 of those 100 students. A percentile rank of 50 is considered to be average.
Trinity scored exceptionally well again. Our performance on National Percentile Rank was:

Grade 4 92%
Grade 6 71%
Grade 8 93%
