Staff

The ECLC staff welcomes you to our center. Whether you are visiting for the first time or have been using our childcare services, it is our prayer that you are surrounded in Jesus’ love. Our staff is nurturing and caring, meeting individual needs in a Christian environment. Mrs. Parks is the Director of the Center. Each classroom has a Lead Teacher with Teacher Assistants. All ECLC staff are recertified every 2 years in Infant CPR/1st Aid, certified in SIDS, SBS, Child Abuse and Neglect. Our mission is to take care of God’s children and teach them about Jesus, their Savior. Children will experience God’s love in our smiles and through the Christian example we set.

Get to Know:
Penny Swanson, ECLC Director
swansonp@trinitynet.org

Mrs. Swanson is the Early Childhood Learning Center’s Director. She believes every child is a precious gift from God. She takes the responsibility to ensure each child is provided a safe and loving environment very seriously. Every child should be able to go home feeling accepted and wrapped in Jesus’ love. She oversees the staff in each of the center’s rooms along with the physical environment.
She grew up in Dodgeville, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. After graduating, she married her husband Tim and moved to Rockford, IL. It was there that their three children were born. Shortly after their youngest child was born, Tim was called to be a pastor and they moved to St. Louis where Tim attended Concordia Seminary. Following seminary, Tim received a call to Wausau. This move inspired a career change for Penny. After years in the veterinary field, she began her career in childcare here at Trinity as a part-time assistant teacher.
After a short time at Trinity, she took the position of assistant director at Wausau Child Care, Inc. where she was later promoted to director of their Franklin facility. Mrs. Swanson is certified in CPR and First Aid, SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome, Child Abuse and Neglect and continues to attend seminars in early childhood to broaden and expand her knowledge in child development. In her free time, she enjoys music by playing the flute and singing with her church choir, watching movies, reading and spending time with her family.
